Plans for future professional development.
The education sector is a dynamic and constantly evolving area of employment. It is an industry where pedagogical practices need to keep pace with global and local approaches to children, their development and learning. New educational theories emerge and develop as the educational needs of children progress over time; as such, the learning and guidance strategies educators implement become more diverse. Similarly the changes and progressions in regulatory policies and standards that guide our profession, assists us as educators work towards achieving the best outcomes for all young children.
I plan to strengthen my knowledge and build on my early childhood care and education experience through ongoing professional studies and development. I have recently completed and attained a Graduate Diploma of Primary Education at Monash University and hope to gain employment in a dynamic semi rural pre-school or primary school setting.
I envisage working in the education sector for the rest of my working life where professional learning will continue to play a key role in my career as an educator.
